I have a new set of Vredestein Sessanta tyres - 19 inch on my E53 2004 3.0D Sport. I seem to keep picking up small stones/gravel that embed themselves in the tyre tread.
Remove every time or leave ?- what the best practice here folks. I can see pros and cons in both approaches - years ago I was told it was a bad idea to leave stones embedded in the tread - what do you think?

And the car behind you will be pleased as well as they are not getting the stone on their windscreen when it releases itself at 70 mph ...

Re: should I or shouldn't I ....?
that's a fair point and I will set about removing them, however my question was more about tyre damage that i may be causing either by leaving them in or removing them (which will of course be done with a blunt object)

Most tyres will pick up loose gravel chips - its that time of year with resurfacing roads and other senseless roadworks.......I try to remove them from my tyres when I see them, but I don't think its a big problem for the tyre unless its a large/ sharp item stuck in the tread.
