pull out boot floor

Post by graemeX5 » Sat Jul 06, 2013 7:17 am

Hi, I managed to buy a pull out boot floor recently to retrofit I to my car.

I have fitted the main floor and the rear carpet cross member (item 13 &14 in diagram below)

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=51&fg=65

I have also bought the 2 side pieces of carpet but awaiting their delivery.  However does anyone know how do you fit the 2 side pieces of carpet,  which finish the installation and stop any loose bits dropping into the wheel well (item 10 in diagram) as it doesn't show how its held in.

Thanks

I think I've got it sorted out now.

I received the 2 side carpet pieces and are moulded plastic which is covered in carpet.

The pieces have 3 holes and these correspond with 3 holes in the plastic boot floor. I have used self tapers to hold them in. It really does finish off the install.

Now on to the next project heated rear seats.
