Total theiving scum bastards

Post by shadrack » Fri Jun 07, 2013 11:20 pm

As some may no a couple of months ago a stolen outboard of my brother turned up on ebay......anyway the thiving scum have been back, forced the lock to rear door on garage and took stihl saw, hedgecutter, chainsaw, emptied the snap on box of all snap on gear (left all the shit stuff) Makita drills even the 20ft welder leads off the arc welder and the scrap cable bin contents, that is it now police cant even come till tomorrow, happened last night,  thing where they've cocked up is they've had another go at the outboard they couldn't get last time and no one on earth could know that's there, its not overlooked by anything at all, the cars been parked in the same place, came in same way.....

so getting alarm, security lighting, razor wired electric fence, oh and the bit they don't know is that since last time not only did we get the engine back, but the theifs name and address and vehicle reg........

trouble is its such a pleasant place and you really don't expect this type of thing.

Not good.  Hope some of it gets recovered, but that Police response is terrible - though not surprising.

Sounds like you need CCTV there too.

The police response is not good, but if 20% of the budget is removed by Govt,it isn't surprising there's no-one to send.

Sorry to here the bad news.

Cctv is an idea bit I had my motorbike in my garage and put a baby alarm in there and the receiver in the house as a security measure but you can only do so much stop them

This is an awful event, but prevention is better than cure.
Deffo invest in some security measures, CCTV, intruder alarm etc.

You can get a decent alarm from alert electrical, and zone it off so that you can part arm it at night.

Get a dialler that calls your mobile when the alarm is triggered.

Install it yourself, so then it doesn't have to conform to a BS regulation as it would do when a company installed it and then fit 4 or 5 bell boxes, so it sounds like the apocalypse when the alarm goes off.

Pass all the details to the cops and they will investigate it, but like Riggie said, if you cut funding to the cops the only result will be more crime. It doesn't take a genius to work that out, something that seems to have passed the MP's by.

Bizarrely, I thought crime rates had actually fallen in the last few years?

I would rather see courts dish out tougher sentences personally.

no just nobody bothers to report it anymore as they never recover anything, so hardly worth disturbing their tea break
