Congrats on your X and welcome along.
Looks like you found a really tidy example mate.
As for your toy, that looks like a load of fun too. How are you getting 500bhp from it? What mods have you done?

Quite a bit of work then )
No wonder you have so many ponies on tap. Are you hands on or do you farm the work out? Would love the time, money and inclination to be allowed such a toy.

here is a link to my build thread for it if your bored
http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/forums/v ... 93&start=0
anyway more updates on the X
new alpine bluetooth head unit , can stream music from my phone and have my ipod pluged in aswell , the sound is much better than the factory head unit and i still can control it all via the steering wheel
HU by Jack Strathdee, on Flickr
also fitted this (hid the amp where the sub normally go's
sub by Jack Strathdee, on Flickr
makes a huge difference as the head unit pulls the base from the door speakers and lets them perform better , supper surprised it worked as its been in the loft for 4 years and its now 7 years old its self!
and fitted all the LED lights and shes bright at night now! haha

Held on by clips and you will no doubt break a few - no matter how careful you are. The How-To I did on the mirror fix may have a few shots on how to get em off (can't remember).
And you don't have swirl flaps - ignore the advice you're being given!

Re: Hello , New Owner
As Sanj says you do NOT have swirl flaps. The E53 was never fitted with them even though other BMWs with the same engine do have them (our E46 for example). That is one worry you can forget. We know coz we've looked.
