Congrats on your X and welcome along.

Looks like you found a really tidy example mate.

As for your toy, that looks like a load of fun too.  How are you getting 500bhp from it? What mods have you done?

thanks , oh the focus has been my daily for the last 4 years , iv always done track days but last year decided to go all out on it

It runs a fully forged Area-six race spec engine (custom cams/pistions/rods/valves,double valve springs & ported to match manifolds dimensions)
External oil pump set up
Custom tubular manifold
Garrett GTX3071r turbo
Tial MVR 44mm wastegate
Area-six intake manifold
AEM water meth injection
SpecR custom garrett zeroloss intercooler
Custom external fuel pump and swirl pot set up
ID1000's injectors
Sytec fuel regulator
Sachs porches GT3 RS clutch custom set up
all mapped on standard ford Bosch ECU

Quite a bit of work then :))

No wonder you have so many ponies on tap. Are you hands on or do you farm the work out?  Would love the time, money and inclination to be allowed such a toy.

anyway more updates on the X


new alpine bluetooth head unit , can stream music from my phone and have my ipod pluged  in aswell , the sound is much better than the factory head unit and i still can control it all via the steering wheel

makes a huge difference as the head unit pulls the base from the door speakers and lets them perform better , supper surprised it worked as its been in the loft for 4 years and its now 7 years old its self!


and fitted all the LED lights and shes bright at night now! haha

Just a few questions

Iv tryed getting the mirror caps off using the BMW diagram , and it's Imposiable lol any one got any tips?

Also I'm sure iv read that my x5 doesn't have swirl flaps , but someone keeps telling me that I do and I should buy the delete kit , any help?

Held on by clips and you will no doubt break a few - no matter how careful you are. The How-To I did on the mirror fix may have a few shots on how to get em off (can't remember).

And you don't have swirl flaps - ignore the advice you're being given!

As Sanj says you do NOT have swirl flaps.  The E53 was never fitted with them even though other BMWs with the same engine do have them (our E46 for example).  That is one worry you can forget.  We know coz we've looked.
