Hi,
Our car has a scratch on the aluminium door trim (passenger front door). I've found a replacement part from BMW direct and thought I'd read that a credit card will help remove it for replacement but asked them the question and they've advised " this is held on with M4 nuts on the rear of the door trim so this will need to be removed to complete the repair". Are they suggesting that the entire door trim needs to be removed to complete the repair? Anyone done this?
Regards,
Paul

Re: Trim replacement E70
As the parts diagram suggests that the door cards do need removal.
Hope it helps.

Re: Trim replacement E70
silverous,
Its not a daunting job as you might think, with a common sense approach and from the diagram above look at the release points on the door card (preferably a trim removal tool) there are a few screws to undo and its just the case of pulling the card off the door.
There are some items you need to remove prior eg.parts 2,16,12,21,13,
