radio not working

Hi guys,

Been having an ongoing issue with the radio in the x5. I tried resetting everything by pulling the fuses. Which worked a few times. this then stopped working,so i tried disconnecting the battery, all i was getting was a blank screen when i turned the radio on. So i removed the bm54 and sent it off to baris to be repaired and upgraded.

This was refitted and still all i was getting was a blank screen when the radio is turned on. It was removed and tried in my m3 and my dads e39 and worked fine in both.

I have tried running the bm54 with all other units both connected and disconnected and still the same problem. It seems almost as though there is no connection between the bm54 and the screen/speakers.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i can try next.

If you are still having problems, I was given these guy's details by Alpine UK as they can't touch the bordmonitor's
