X5 xDrive40d SE 3.0
Black Sapphire Metallic
Oyster Nevada leather
Steering wheel heating
Windscreen with grey shade band
Running boards. aluminium
Dark Bamboo wood interior trim
Ext. mirrors - folding. auto dimming
Seat heating. front
High-beam Assistant
Adaptive Headlights
Loudspeaker system - BMW Professional
Sun protection glass
Media package
Dynamic package
20" Y-spoke style 336 alloy wheels
Comfort seats. front.

Well picked up the 40d at last was meant to be Monday but the dvla at there best with the plate transfer.

Well I'm not missing the 4.8 as the they match in power and silky smooth gearbox  , was a nice 40 mile drive back from the dealers with mixed motorway and twisty roads .

What a difference in the drive without the adaptive suspension , doesn't feel as harsh on the roads running on 20" run flats , I like the ride much better just can't throw it rounds bends like before but don't mind that.

Comfort seats missed these had them in my 4.8is  , prefer them over the sport with alot more adjustment .

Do miss the heads up display was nice handy option to have .

Heated steering wheel another simple option but very nice in the winter months .

Adaptive headlights and high beam assist havn't had before and had a chance to try out as yet .

As for the wheels I'm not too sure about but I'm sure they will grow on me

Only options I wish it had were the pano roof and heads up display

Here is a few tasters till I've gave it a little detail and got the flys off the front  ::)

Well hope the wife appreciate's it as she is the main driver , last photo is my ride for my disabled daughter and dogs just need my 20" alloys and my leather / alcantara interior retrim

Great looking. Can't remember why you sold the 4.8 but it sure looks good.

Glad you like your new toy.  Given the performance of the 40d I personally think the 4.8 is now obsolete - except for those obsessed with V8 soundtracks.....but they can always's buy a 50i and do without 400cc..... :P

Wife wanted something with a couple of years warranty as we had a £4500 repair bill with BMW giving £1000 goodwill . ( cleaned me out of my jetski fund  :( )

The 4.8 was 5mths out of extended warranty when all sh*t broke loose

adaptive headlights are great on dark country roads especially with the main beam on.  High beam assist is good but can get a little confused with reflections from road signs

Otherwise nice car  :)
