EWS Location ?

Could anyone tell me where the EWS module is located on a  55 plate E53 ?

I have 3 possibilities behind the lower facia by the steering column , behind the glove box or what's in the box at rear passenger side of engine compartment ?

I don't want to start dismantling the wrong area of the car

No idea on the EWS, but the DDE ECU is in the engine bay box.  Careful with the rear catches on the cover.....they can snap.

Oh  - not in the engine bay box  - anyone else any ideas  ?

I suppose I should dismantle the lower fascia below the steering wheel but I can find a couple of retaining screws but when I remove them the panel doesn't appear to want to come off .

Am I missing something ?

Just had a look by removing the lower panel above the pedals but can't see anything !

Do I have to remove the binnacle to get access to it ? -  thanks

Remove the panel above the trim above the pedals that the obd connector is in .
The unit is behind there bolted to the metal dash reinforcing bar .

I think I am in the right area but can't find it 

I cannot see anything bolted to the dash support bracket neither front or back - providing I am looking at the correct bracket !
I tried to load a photo but couldn't , will try again.

Am I getting warm ?  )  I still can't find it ! Can feel all around the strengthening plate ( I think ) but still no EWS
