That does seem on the low side. Generally, without comms used to be around £1500 - £2K less although this has reduced somewhat and would not be as much for an older car, so I think he was having you on a bit. You could probably get a better price with a private sale for yours.

A £2k nick in the nuts for a vehicle in that price range is far to hard, dealer sounds a bit of a and I bet his iS wasn't £1.5k cheaper because it only has 1/2 leather

Always a good idea to pass if you have doubts, not a strong market at the moment and not likely to improve any time soon bar the silly trade hyped January rust to buy stock. Just keep your eyes open and wait for the one that meets the spec you really want.
