My mirors are doing the fold in and then back out again thing! I've read on here about the microswitch fix but as it's still under AUC warranty, I've booked it into the dealers next week.
I said that this shoukd be covered under wrranty and the sa said it would be as long as it wasn't wear and tear. The car has done 58k. Has anyone had this fixed under warranty and if so, at what mileage?
I've just signed to carry on with the insured warranty and if they quote the wear and tear get out, I'll be kicking that into touch.
I note that there is no requirement now or dealer servicing to maintain the insured warranty, but I always thought BMW would only entertain 'goodwill' if the car had been serviced within the dealer network. I asked the sa but she was clueless. Any ideas?

Folding mirror fix under warranty?
Re: Folding mirror fix under warranty?
Mine were done under the AUC warranty, car was around same mileage as yours as I recall, other forum members have had same done under warranty as well. I also had a "goodwill" repair of the sunroof leaking seals as I have a full BMW service history. TBH, these cars have such long variable service intervals maintaining a full BMW service history hasn't been difficult.
The extended warranty isn't quite the same as the first year after purchase, but I have stuck with mine even though its not cheap - have had a long list of repairs under warranty, electric mirrors, bluetooth module, parking sensors, leaking gearbox seal, rear light cluster, alternator, oil cooler. Only things not covered so far has been the mirror glass on one of the mirrors which is has clouded as the coating is breaking down, sunroof seals (covered under "goodwill" from BMW) and an engine mount.
