More tyre talk - Maxxis Marauders

Post by MarkW » Tue May 21, 2013 10:20 pm

Still looking for some good all round tyres, on and light offroad/bad winter conditions.
I've just come across Maxxis Marauders, supplied by 4x4tyres.co.uk. Reasonable price and in front and rear sizes for my X. She's wearing 19" rims.
I had Maxxis tyres all round on my Z4 and they performed well in all weathers.
Wondering if anyone has tried them on a big heavy motor.
X5 3.0D Sport, Estoril Blue, Black Nappa leather, Sat Nav, Bluetooth, Pan Roof, Rear Screens, TV.

They were on my car when I bought it. They wore very quickly, especially on the rear and they were also noisy at speeds above 80kph, 50mph. Have put Bridgestones on the car and am much happier and they are a lot quieter and have very good grip in all conditions.
Cheers, Drew
