Happy chappy! £135 (including VAT) for a replacement battery for my X5! Quite chuffed. Not bothered looking or pricing anywhere else. Sopers, Lincoln.

Did that include fitting? Or just the hardware?

Depends on the spec of battery whether it was a good deal or not so not sure why you're chuffed???? I paid less than £100 delivered for Bosch Silver S5 which is the one to get - but if you're happy that is the main thing!

Re: New Battery - Main Dealer!!
Just the hardware Richard, I am fitting it myself! Is that classed as a mod?
Smeeagain, It's the right battery for the car, the dealer offered a choice of four! I didn't ask why one model of car needs up to four different choices of battery. I trust my dealer, and know I will pay a premium, but the car is still under warranty, and I don't want to provide a suitable excuse in the future should I have an electrical malady! And we know how rare electrical gremlins are on X5's don't we! )
I'm happy!

Re: New Battery - Main Dealer!!
Mighty expensive battery, but if you're happy and the car is 100% thats the main thing. I make a point of never buying a battery from a main dealer, or tyres, as they are massively marked up. As long as its the correct rating for the car, they can't complain, but I know what you are saying about them blaming anything they can for the electrical faults!
