Well got them and had a bit of a bonus when picking them up, the chap only sold second hand alloys and had a lock up full to bursting point with sets of wheels and tyres anyway when i got there the chap asked if mine were for sale so i asked what his offer was and ended up taking the new 22's with good tyres (5mm-7mm no worn edges) pirelli scorpion zero so a decent set for £150 and my old wheels so Im well chuffed.

The lips are all going funny as there diamond cut and lacquered so corrosion is creeping in and spoiling the finish but next week in the evenings I'll flat the corrosion back fill the curbing then prime and paint the lips Titan silver and leave the centres black.

Any how here's how they look:

Backs will be getting spaced out 20mm brother-in-law is on the case might get them by the end of the day....

The tyres in my opinion are a little to wide for the rim as they bulge a tiny bit but thats probably a good thing when it comes to my wife driving it gives a little bit more protection to the rim.....

Down in Kent,

but he only had this one set of 22's as I asked if he had any others to chose from which he didn't and said they don't come along very often.

Love the work and effort you've made. You certainly have talent! Wish I had the time, and skills to take on paint jobs!

How does your X ride on 22"s?

Thanks,

The ride is very good, it was a concern I had but my mind was put at ease by a few of the forum members,

Normal driving I can't even tell Im no longer on 19's, back roads and streets it feels a little firmer but really not by much at all so if your considering a wheel upgrade I'd say 22's are a great choice.

if I put oe wheeld like that on a car I would just say standard to insurance, at least 50% of people would see a bmw badge and assume they were standard
