Hi I am looking to do this mod too. Did you buy the abover scanner or did you go down the INPA route? I dont have sat nav fitted just the old MID, does the same principle apply for enabling this and will it function as expected with the MID instead of screen.

Off topic sorry but does BMW scanner 1.40 reinitalise the rain sensor?

Thanks
yes i used the scanner, pretty simple to be fair.
I have the MID so i'm not familiar with that set up, but im sure it will work either way

the scanner can enable lots and you can really personalise your car.

so far i have
enabled aux heating
activated the tv whilst moving
changed the blutooth name
enables selective locking
enabled comfort opening
enabled audable and visual alarm settings
and all sorts of shizz

Maybe I could set up a loan service for my scanner?
When you say you have enabled aux heating do you mean you have got it to display on the obc or that you can actually programme it to blow hot air into the cabin area? if so this sounds like a great tool.
I have a resler and navcoder which i used to activate tv in motion and sort out my bluetooth module to enable VR but it can't do much more than that where as that little gadgy sounds great

Hi T400

Quick one for you I have a 4.8is 2004 Facelift and was wondering if it would work on that as I see most say they are upto 2004? (Pre-facelift?), also does it do the key programming i.e. have the seats move when you unlock with diferent keys?

Cheers

Darren

t400, did you get your partking heater to work?

If not have you tried the direct option to test that the parking heater is working, i.e. put 12v from the jump start positive to pin 1 on the parking heater?

Sorry to labour the point but...

I've got a 2004 X5 3.0d with the aux heating menu on the sat nav screen.
As standard does that provide only heat to the engine and not to the interior?
Should I have had a remote with the car?

Does the software t400 have enable the aux heat option to heat the interior?

t400 are you nywhere near Sussex ;-p
When's the next meet?!

Thanks for the reply  in that case that does sound like a great bit of kit you have then :) did you need anything else to be able to use it like software etc or did that all come with the scanner for £70 or what ever the price was.
If not i'm well impresed as i paid about £40 for my resler and navcoder and that doesn't do half as much by the sound of it
