Where's all the LPG gone???
Where's all the LPG gone???
Is there some sort of LPG conspiracy going on or is it just limited to my neck of the woods? I dont travel far for LPG, infact I have around 4/5 pumps within the local area; none of which have had LPG for the last 3 weeks. They all claim they have "broken pipes". Sounds fishy.
I didnt realise how heavy footed I was with the X5 as all I seem to be doing is topping up Petrol.
Any other LPG'ers facing an issue?
If I make the meet im hoping there will be some on the way up...

Re: Where's all the LPG gone???
Imy, no issues in North West Lancashire. In fact i found a shell that does LPG @ 63.9! also general prices have gone down. Seems odd though that 5 garages have it 'unavailable'

Re: Where's all the LPG gone???
There are less garage in Hertfordshire stocking LPG now.
I would have to travel 15 miles to get to a station and back again which somewhat negates the benefits of swopping to lpg for me

[/quote] not if you fill up with 80+ litres a time. You'll soon see the benefits!

Re: Where's all the LPG gone???
It's ok near me as Hilton (who did my conversion last week) gave me a full tank for nothing so currently I'm paying 0p per litre PMSL
Re: Where's all the LPG gone???
Are you sure he didnt secretly charge you in your final bill?

Nope as the install was a tad over £2,100 which was still cheaper than a couple of other Prins installers (and they've spent more time and effort on it to have it done exactly the way I wanted it, etc). I actually got the full tank after paying the pre agreed price.

Absolutely no negative difference. I'm very impressed by the whole system.

Doing an average of 10k miles a year with roughly getting 19mpg on petrol then the LPG should save me somewhere in the region of £1500 just in fuel. However I can see myself using it so much more now and so should see bigger savings and recoup quicker.

Re: Where's all the LPG gone???
I know what your saying! The LPG conspiracy is still going on in my ends. Means im still driving on petrol. I just didnt realise how heavy footed I was, and because I got the double din install i have no OBC functions so iv really only just noticed the cost of my driving since iv been filling up almost every other weekend!
I now have to consider whether the hard acceleration is worth it!
