Yeah I do get some second looks from X6 drivers.

Wish I was local to the meets down there, we need some in Cheshire :(

I'm liking them Jay  not too different to oem ones but a subtle difference that makes a big one if that makes any sense :dizzy:

Cheers fella.
Those that "know" will notice, those that don't will assume they are factory :)

Very nice wheels!
can you please tell me what exactly did you buy (with links if possible) and where from.

I am thinking about exactly the same setup...when there will be more of us with these wheels, people will presume it must be OEM :D...

the rears just bolt on without any hub rings?

Bought a set of genuine BMW X6 20" wheels with original tyres from eBay that had been removed from an X6 to fit 22s.
They bolted straight on with the spigot rings on the front, which you can also buy on eBay.

Some better pics, but still not great as only off my Iphone, but you get the idea. Will take some proper photos with the SLR when I give it a proper wash.

Very nice...gives your X5 a unique look whilst still maintaining the 'OEM' feel. Great stuff!

looks good.

Will you now have to put the arch extensions on to get through an MOT, as on the last picture they look to be at the edge of the arches??

Do all 4.6is's have arch extensions?

Yes - any car that left the factory with 20's as an option came to the UK with the arch extension.

MOT won't fail it but it's something you can be stopped for...

Just asking, going back to my Mini days, I bought some wheels from a Hillman Imp and the wheels stuck out further than the wheel arches. The police pulled me over, then instructed me to change wheels or add arch extensions and have it passed at an MOT station and produce document at police station within 14 days

The wheels are actually inside the arch, it's a bit of an optical illusion in the photo.
The offset of the wheels is slightly higher than the 4.6is 20" wheels so they just tuck in nicely :)
