Hi all,
Finally got my X5, going through a list of queries, this one should be simple.
Where exactly should the jack be in the boot of the car? I think mine is missing. I have the locking wheel nut, the windy thing !! but I cant find the actual jack, also according to the manual there is a pole like thing to hold the panel up, cant find that, and a bracket to hold the bottom tailgate flat 'open', I cant find that either.
Photo of a complete boot would be nice

Re: Where's the jack ?
Should be under the boot floor and towards the front of the spare if memory serves.

Re: Where's the jack ?
The Jack is between the rear seats and the spare wheel held by a bungee. Pain in the ass to reach too.
Can be got at by lifting the floor. The stay should be on the drivers side of the spare too IIRC next to the wheel brace, again under the floor
I got a 2.5 tonne trolley jack, partly because the car one is a bit pants and partly because going in the shed is infinately easier than wresling the jack out.

Re: Where's the jack ?
Here's a picture of it
On its side at the back above the red wire
The plastic stay can be found next to the silver wheel brace and tow eye on the right. It's held on by two pieces of velcro. The stay is missing from this picture but you can see the two 1" pieces of velcro on the little ledge

Re: Where's the jack ?
That is brilliant, Thank you, I will get the tyre out and have a proper look. If I can keep the floor off my head ) as I have noticed that the clip that is supposed to attach to the boot roof is missing, I have the elastic but no clip to attach it to the bodywork
