TV " The Petrol Age" Sky Atlantic & car tv related ramblings
I fully appreciate that some like trips down memory lane but I found this to be pompous sentimental nostalgia & frankly quite boring...........Ep 1 : Brooklands visit left me less than enthused & even the Atom sessions seemed dull, (with Paul McGann the presenter seemingly scared to put his foot down) Ep 2 : Hit fast forward a few times and some, (prior recorded).
With the title of the show I expected it to be a bit more aimed at Petrol Heads. I didn't expect nor want Max Power live but this failed to hit the spot for me.
Perhaps it will get better............IMO it needs to.

I found it a bit dull as i've seen some of those episodes before
Car SOS is a bit of fun though. Part Wheeler Dealer part A car (etc) is born.....which I always like watching
The Jag and 4x4 BORNs are excellent

Not seen Car SOS before I will search for that........I watched all episodes of A Car is Born with Mark Evans & the E Type - best restoration series I have ever seen..............Even down to the interludes with anoraks & track laps in other classics.

Last night I watched trading up, the wheeler dealer programme.
Mike Brewer irritates me at times but some interesting cars.

I take it you watched the 4x4 is born too, Land rover body onto a rangerover chassis
Lead loading the jag
wet sanding the jag
in a garage that had everything needed for the jag rebuild
didn't like the bikes....fascinating but a bit dull
a plane and a helicopter....in your shed
kit car...fun but lightweight
best series ever IMO with the amount of re-bores...diff overhauls....the list goes on
worst ever.... wheeler dealers poor spray job of a capri wing and 600k hids that were massively expensive and pants on a lexus. They were early ones though

Missed this but, thanks to your heads up and the wonders of the Sky+ app on my phone, it's been set to record (when it's next on) from the comfort of my bed!
