Just saying hello...  looking to maybe buy an X5, and thought this might be a good place to start learning  :)

My last car was a L322 TD6 - so quite a bit in common  ::)

Anyhow - Good to be here, looks like a great forum - now to start the research ...................................

Welcome to the forum. What did you have in mind, Petrol or diesel variant ?
There is a wealth of knowledge on here, regarding the pros and cons of X5 ownership.

I think It would be either diesel or 4.4. I got £12.5k for my Range Rover, but ideally I would like to spend 1/2 that, and free up a bit of cash  ;)

Do you think I'll manage to get anything for that price ?

Hi & :hi: from me too. £6/7k will find you an early e53 but I wouldn't go spending that extra cash to quickly  ;) have a good look through AW8's very informative buyers guide and then fir ein the questions. I'm sure we'll all do our best to help.
