First time X5 owner from Dundee, Scotland

Post by Rossco0506 » Tue Apr 09, 2013 9:04 pm

Hey folks, just a wee note to say hi.

Not only am I a first time X5 owner, I'm also a first time BMW owner! Been looking for an X5 for a while now but it had to be black and it had to be pre 2006 for road tax reasons! ::) Finaly found one on AutoTrader down in Dudley and drove 365 miles to collect just on Saturday past.

Ive always had sporty little hatchbacks. Handy for getting my Golden Lab in the boot but due to family getting bigger, saloons being out the question and estates looking ugly, I opted for a 4x4. X5 wins hands down on looks alone IMO.  ;)

My name is Ross, I'm a postman, wife, 3 kids and I'm into motorbikes, falconry, parrots, gym, UFC and cars. Got no time for ball sports, if you cant get hurt or go fast, I aint interested! :P

Cool car, interesting hobbies too.

Welcome.

Nice Mini in the background as well. My father had a few of them and I spent more than a few afternoon's doing various tweaks on it.

Hi &  :hi: Ross.

Good looking X you have and liking the colour of the wheels. Richard (x5sport) would normally have more to say as way of a welcome but obviously his new born son is taking all his energy  ::)

Cheers for the warm welcome folks!  :)

I wasnt so keen on the wheels to begin with but they are growing on me. They are rather dirty in the pics tho as I was litterly 2 mins home after a 365 mile trip! Cant wait for some decent weather to get the showroom finish it had when I collected it. 8)

I fancy changing the standard BMW badges to carbon black and white ones and maybe adding front and rear chrome M-tech badges too?!?!

Welcome aboard.

Nice base X to mod.

You were only down the road from me when you collected it as I'm in Wolverhampton. That's a decent trek to purchase a motor but you got to really get to know her on the journey home.
