As you say, whatever anyone's opinions of her, she was one of a kind.

I hear she's only been in hell for a few hours and she's shut down 4 furnaces already!

Yes definitely ruined the country by ripping it from the grasp of adolf scargill and his thugs and boosting the number of home owners at all levels of society <sigh>

I like to think she would have laughed at that.

Absolutely. People seem to conveniently forget the tyranny (and that's not too strong a word) of the union bosses in their 70s heyday. It's impossible for one person to be right all the time but I'm sure history will judge her very positively.

I don't know so much .............

I reckon Boris has real potential.........Slightly mad, but says it as it is & arguably likeable.........UKIP Leader Nigel Farage recently identified Boris Johnson as a future Tory leader he would be willing to work with, raising the prospect of a so-called “Borage” partnership....Now that really could be interesting.

Yes Boris does seem to be more robust than most, but with his almost comedy manner I just can't see him being able to intimidate foreign national governments the way Maggie did.  She certainly punched well above her (the UK's) weight.

If you missed the recent documentary on Boris ( I think it was on BBC), it's well worth a watch.
