OBC Pixelation

Post by BigRick » Mon Sep 24, 2012 7:08 am

Has anyone had this problem? I've done a search on here but not came up with nothing? Its on my dash instrument cluster, across the bottom. There is some lines through the message part in the middle and also were the service lights are, most of that is not showing? Is there a simple fix as in the radio one? Cheers

Do a search for a guy called Rudi, he's in Southampton and usually turns them round in 72 hours.

If you can't find him mentioned on here, PM kkodal78 who's just used him a few weeks back. You may even fancy the LED bulb change as your first mod!  ;)

I used rudi just before I sold mine, all was fine.
Just to make people aware of another guy that comes highly reccomended by a couple of local garages in my area, and I wish I'd have known about him earlier, as he's literally along the road from me.
Just to add that I've no connection with him, just passing on his website details.

Hi kkodal78.

Considering getting this done to my cluster.

How much did Rudi charge for the pixel repair/LED upgrade?

I think it was somewhere around £150. It has been a while so.

Here is rudi's contact info
mailto:rudi@bmwpixelfix.co.uk
tel:07934280510
Hope this helps.
He is located in southampton so if you are near him you can drive down to his place to get it done. It took him about an hour or so to get mine done.

Well that may be a very good point but i would not want to screw up a £1000 part to fix. I think he puts a new cable etc in it as well so i assume his labour to take it out, reinstall and fix it flawlessly, 150 is well worth it. The result was very assuring.
On the other hand that is a very good talent to have especially there is such big demand.
