Does anyone know if comfort seats from other models will fit a restile E53 2005 X5?

I am looking to change my 60k miles sports seats with comfort ones, but there are not many on ebay.
I have found however some comfort seats from 7 series E38, 5 series E39 E60/61, X5 E70, X6 E71 and even pre facelift 2000-2003 E53.

which of the above fit facelift E53?

many thanks!!

I suspect that there will be a major difference if the seats come from a different type of car in terms of the electrical control system. I doubt if components from a car with a fibre-optic bus will work in a car without, and vice-versa. Happy to be proven wrong but the more recent cars tend to need complex programming to make electrical things work as designed.

Just my 2p worth.

I have had a look at Realoem and it makes no mention of comfort seat pads with or without heating, just one pad type with different colours. The heated seat retofit kit only shows a new switch unit for the lower front console.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

very true, but what about E39, E38 - no fibre optics there, right?

Yes - I think that's correct.
