BMW X5 (E53) all inclusive servicing

Post by Darnicmax » Fri Nov 05, 2010 12:27 pm

Had a flyer drop through the door this morning promoting BMWs all-inclusive service program for E53.

Prices are as follows - and are all inclusive including Genuine BMW Parts, Labour and VAT. Carried out, of course, at your local BMW dealer.
First price is for 6 cylinder/Second is for 8 cylinder

Oil Service (inc filter and microfilter) £160/£179
Inspection 1 (inc oil filter, microfilter) £259/£279
Inspection 2 (inc oil filter, microfilter and spark plugs for petrol models) £369/£399
Front Brake Pads (inc sensor) £149/£149
Front Brake Pads and discs (inc sensor) £329/£329

Just wondered how these prices stack up against indie prices....and how much cheaper (if any) they are over the 'original' BMW service costs....

Just answered my own question...dug out service receipt from my last BMW dealer visit (Inspection 1). Carried out last year (2009). No parts other than oil and filters....Cost was £345.85. Under the all inclusive program, that would now be £259 - saving me £86.85 or 25%. For once, something has got cheaper..

darncimax...... I assume this is offered by one dealer rather than a national scheme. If not national please name the dealer.

My V8 Insp 1 at main dealer came in at £235 recently, (cost including me supplying own oil and haggling parts & labour)

I got the same flyer through the post today so I guess its a national thing.

One interesting point is that it quotes for Inspection 2 - when I took mine in for this a few months ago I was told that they no longer did Inspection 2's on diesel E53's???
Cheers
Phil.

Does the flyer mention specific dealer names ?

Does it have contact number or web address on it ?

Anyone able to scan & post a hosted photo link ?

I asssume it wouldnt be cost effective to send to every uk household & somehow they have contacted existing BMW customers on database.

I went into my local dealer today (north oxford) and asked about this offer. The prices qouted to me were as above, so it must be a national thing.....

Hi Phil

I just had a service on Monday and when I booked it in I asked for an inspection 2 and was told they don't do an inspection 2 on them it's just a more intense inspection 1. Confused

Anyway it was free due to previous issue with dealer by my local one in Banstead or Croydon is the same price as on flyer.

I've just rescued mine from the recycling bin - will scan it later and see if I can suss out how to host photos etc.

It isn't dealer specific and quotes contact details as '0800 777119' and 'www.bmw.co.uk/valueservice'

Cheers Penny :D

Thats pretty much what they told me - I thought it would be correct as I know the guys there pretty well but was a little confused when I saw the leaflet - just wanted to be sure.

Thanks again
Cheers

PhilT,

Thanks I checked the link, however, it only gives discounted prices for E46 3 series & E39 5 series only.

It also says participating dealers only in the small print
