Milky / smokey headlights

Post by POC » Thu Mar 28, 2013 4:34 pm

Always seems to be a common problem with plastic lenses fitted to BMWs.

My X5 has this problem. Anyone got a solution?

Cheers, Paul

Some on here have used a headlight re-polishing kit.  Dunno if it's any good in real life, but it's cheaper than new lights.  Can't think of a thread title, but search might find it for you.

Yep, get polishing.  A little more difficult if it's inside as you will have to split the lens from the light unit, but anything is do-able if so inclined.

There's always a good few posts on detailing world about these kits. 3M springs to mind and the results are always good.

Cheers guys, yeah I'm afraid the majority of the problem appears to be on the inside of the headlights. What a b*tch!!
