Lecture

Stopped by police @2am



An elderly man was stopped by the police around 2 a.m and was asked where he was going at that time of night.



The man replied, "I'm on my way to a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the human body,
as well as smoking and staying out late."

The officer then asked, "Really? Who's giving that lecture at this time of night?"

The man replied, "My wife."

very good. reminds me of the only police joke I know.

Guy was driving in America, comes to a STOP sign, slows and drives though - it's midnight after all and there's no traffic

5 seconds later, he's pulled by a cop who says "Sir, licence please - you failed to stop at that sign"

"come on officer, I know I didn't stop, but I slowed down - no harm done eh? - what's the difference?"

Cop gets out his night stick and starts beating the guy round the head.  After 10 seconds of beating, he says "ok, Sir, would you like me to stop, or slow down?"
