Re: AUC warranty, does it over exhausts?
Like others above I'd say no, due to wear and tear. What vehicle do you have, age, mileage, how long ago did you buy it? Just want a fuller picture of the issue .

Re: AUC warranty, does it over exhausts?
Thx for the replies , one of the rear boxes is blowing slightly , the other looks a bit shonky too, MOT failure
Car has only 45k on it and has 12 more months of AUC warranty (bought with 24 mths warranty) but is 9 years old.
Dealer website says ;
"The BMW Warranty means your BMW Approved Used Car has unlimited mileage protection against breakdown and repair costs for parts and labour for a minimum of 12 months.
We want you to have total confidence in your car, which is why the warranty is backed by BMW, not third party insurers, and even covers the battery and exhaust. The open road is waiting...
The following are not covered by the BMW Approved Used Car Warranty: brake and clutch facings, discs and drums, bulbs (except Xenon), fuses, channels and guides, weather strips and seals, handles, hinges and check straps, trim upholstery, and cosmetic finishes, wheels and tyres, wipers blades and arms, glass, auxiliary drive belts, coolant and fuel hoses, the cleaning and adjustment of any component and all service items or items that will require periodic replacement. Corrosion is also not covered by
the warranty."

I think the angle to go here is down the MOT cover route. All AUC warranties come with MOT cover. I don't have a booklet to hand but I'm sure reading it the other night it stated that if the vehicle fail an MOT the policy would cover that failure. I will dig it out and look at in more detail. Did Stephen James do the MOT? have you discussed the issue with the dealer?

Re: AUC warranty, does it over exhausts?
Have just read the MOT cover section and again the exhaust is not mentioned. It also states that advisory items are also not covered.
It looks very much like they will deam that due to the age of the vehicle the exhaust blow would be down to wear and tear.
Always best to discuss issue like like this woith the supplying dealer.
Good luck.
