Anyone fancy a change of interior trim??

Post by PhilUK » Tue Mar 19, 2013 12:14 pm

I fancy a change and rather than fork out for a new set or trawl fleebay I thought I would see if anyone fancied a swap!  :)

I have silver aluminium trim pieces which are all completely unmarked. Looking for piano black or possibly dark wood trim.

Let me know if interested.  ;)

Have considered doing a CF wrap the same as Sanj did here http://xdrivers.co.uk/forum/https://xdrivers.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27.msg25911#msg25911 but still not sure.

Didn't have an image of my interior but this is exactly the same (except the wheel being on the wrong side!)

Ill wait for the nicer weather and give it a go.

Do you know if there is any guides to removing the console knocking about?

Thanks in advance.

Cosmos Black high gloss as it was called was only available on the pre-facelift e53's and not a very common option at that. It was never an option on LCi e53's.

Given that pre-face vehicles are 10 years old at the newest the chances of finding a set in nice condition is unlikely, this trim scratches very easily.

You will probably find it cheaper and quicker to either wrap or respray your current trims  ;)

I watched an episode of Wheeler Dealers where they had the trim from a L322 Range Rover hydrographic dip coated. Very impressive results and a good price. It was done by www.wickedcoatings.co.uk
