Oh yeah, perhaps being a newbie wasnt so bad. So what's the next rank?

I am a member (partner ) of my firm

Our senior partner loves to be referred to as the biggest member

Gets a bit boring having to explain to everybody what a member is though!

Yes this is correct. My other technique involves almost boiling water from a kettle instead of the hairdryer, did it this way when I lived on the third floor of an apartment block and there weren't any outdoor power sockets  :)

Pour the hot water over the badge, the heat has the same effect as the hairdryer. Then dental floss to 'cut' through the foam adhesive. With any luck you can actually peel quite a lot of the foam adhesive off without rubbing.

Then as others have said polish / wax the area when you're done.

Did exactly that yesterday but without the boiling(ish) water. Used string, cut through in seconds and then panel wipe to loosen the gluey foam. Then polish.
