Re: Sun blinds
I've had these blinds before for an E60 5 Series and they're great and pretty well made. Good value, especially when you buy them 'on offer' as per the link. Some friends and family have also bought them for their cars as an alternative to tinted windows.
A couple of points:
1. These blinds are fixed so do not roll up or down. The windows however can still be opened when they're fitted.
2. Just take care to clean the door frame properly and ensure you've got the correct position when fixing the adhesive clips. Take care when removing the blinds, you just need to pull down gently on the fanric tab. One time my wife just yanked the blind out pulling the clip with it!
3. Some of the blinds (the rear quarterlight springs to mind) are just push fit.

What about Windowsox as an alternative?

Ooh, good question!
I've had Windowsox before and they're also pretty good, again you can open the window when they're fitted and they're easily removable.
The disadvantages with Windowsox (in my opinion):
1. Only available for the side doors, no option (when I looked at any rate) for the side windows on an Estate, although I think they do a wraparound sock for the rear window on saloons.
2. Best only fitted in the summer - as when it rains (as the Windowsock is like a sock covering both sides of the glass) the outside can look quite messy as water fills the mesh.
Having experience of all three, my preference would be:
1. Privacy glass / tints (£££)
2. Privacy shades (££)
3. Windowsox (£)
The privacy shades in this thread really are pretty good. Just to be clear, I have no connection with the company either!

Re: Sun blinds
I've got a set for the Mini, and accept the disadvantages - but then I bought them to give extra shading for the little one and so they should not be needed in 'damp' weather - in theory anyway. They aren't perfect, but a lot better than the Halfrauds etc specials, but at £30 a set I'll give them a try....
The X6 has the OEM sunblinds.

Yes, I'd agree with that - didn't even consider buying the Halfords / rubber suction cap type blinds! Those would absolutlely be bottom of the pile!
I had my Windosox when I had a pool car after changing jobs. I certainly wasn't going to spend silly money on blinds for the 6 months or so I had that.

Re: Sun blinds
Just an afterthought  has the E25 have inbuilt blinds

Re: Sun blinds
If you mean the 'F25' then yes it is an option.
There is also a set to cover the rear, side and tailgate windows if you have none at all fitted.
And an aftersales kit for the E83 here. I don't expect it will be cheap though....it looks to cover everything back from the 'B' pillar.

Re: Sun blinds
Just fitted the blinds, really pleased with the look nice and dark from the outside.

Looks good. Did the same on our E53 and also on the X6.

Re: Sun blinds
Love the look from the outside, think I may want my windows darker now. I have the same wheels for summer also. I've had these blinds on cars in the past and they annoyed me how they looked on the inside of the car though. I don't mean as in the fit of them as they were superb, just all the wee holes.
