Front indicator bulbs .

Post by bluex5 » Tue Nov 02, 2010 1:38 pm

Hi
Can anyone tell me how to change the front indicator bulbs in the headlight unit . They look a nightmare.

Thanks
Paul . :headbang:

Small hands useful but doable.

If that's not possible then mark where the headlight screws sit - two at the top two at the bottom, then loosen these and the whole cluster will come forward. Then you may have more room.

Bad design though.

If you can park the car up against a wall and see the beams - that will help.

You'll have two points of reference then.

Tbh maybe worth getting headlamp relaigned afterwards & if you move the headlamp.

I changed my offside freomt indicator a while back & spookily it was recently found to be out of alignment - despite me prior marking around the bolt fixture points.

On facelift, I marked the screw positions with paint before undoing the headlights. Moved the lights forward until they hit the spray heads.

Enough space to get the bulb replaced then, unless you have carrott fingers like AW8 of course ...

Point to note is that the dealer had to give me 3 lightbulbs before they got the right one.

Agree you should get them properly aligned really, a friendly MOT place should be OK FOC...?

That does not surprise me in the slightest...
