Tyre Control Inactive, any way to disable it

Post by roger chatfield » Sun Mar 17, 2013 6:26 pm

Evening chaps, I'm getting a Tyre Control Inactive message on my dash, now my E53 is 11 years old so I assume the batteries in the sensors have failed causing this fault.

I don't really want the expense of replacing 5 sensors so is there anyway I can simply disable the system so I no longer get the fault message??

Many thanks

Rog.

Possibly with a BMW 1.4.0 scanner, I've got one but rarely use it, maybe a member near you has one .
If your going to the next midlands meet in April. Your local Indy will be able to disable the function.
They can be purchased via eBay for £30 ( Chinese ) lots of posts about them if you trawl the archive posts

Can it definately be done with that, or do you need anything else (apart from a laptop)?
