So I noticed when I got the car that the tailgate would only open half way before stopping and you'd have to push it the remaining way. Originally thought it was a design to stop you hitting roofs in car parks or something but when in having the sunroof fixed, asked them to check and they confirmed needed replacing. All sorted yesterday and now opens fully and they sound right when opening. Just surprised on a 3 year old car (and only 15k miles so not much use) that they would have packed in. All under AUC warranty so fine.
Now noticed this morning that the nearside mirror no longer dips on reversing and the plastic clip covering the tow fitting is broken so may be third trip to the dealer.

Tailgate gas struts
Re: Tailgate gas struts
Have you moved the button on the mirror adjuster? It only dips when in one direction.

Didn't know it did that, thanks, they must have moved the switch whilst in the garage, cheers
