Titan aftermarket tow bar and ALKO hitch
My 3.0i hasn't got a towbar so I have decided to fit a Titan detachable item from PF Jones.. http://www.pfjones.co.uk/bmw-x5-2001-20 ... UObZ1fi7B8
Has anyone fitted a Titan towbar.
Also, I have an ALKO stabiliser hitch fitted to my caravan, will there be enough clearance for this to fit if I use the titan towbar??
Many thanks
Rog.

Most fit the Westfalia towbars , also available from PFJones £275. With the dedicated electrics. Westfalia is what BMW fit as OEM. The dedicated electrics will disable the rear parking sensors, also alters the DSP etc when towing.
Worth the extra as most people looking to buy an X5 with a kit fitted will only buy with a Westfalia OEM kit fitted.

Re: Titan aftermarket tow bar and ALKO hitch
The Titan (and Witter) towbars require the drilling of additional holes in the bodywork whereas the Westfalia utilises only existing holes.
Makes the installation easier and is completely reversible if removal is required.

If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)

Re: Titan aftermarket tow bar and ALKO hitch
I had the Whitter detachable fitted to our 3.0d and there's plenty of clearance for the Alko stabiliser hitch.

According to the fitting instructions on the PF Jones website, drilling is required for both but I have not fitted either myself.
