Parking Light

Post by Tony » Mon Mar 11, 2013 2:28 pm

Hello,

I just found this forum and am hoping someone can help me. i have two front sidelights/parking lights out of action - the dealership have quoted me 415 euros to replace the bulbs. Looking on the forums, it seems like bulbs are replaced all the time with little hassle. Am i being ripped off? the bulbs alone are quoted at 61 euros each!!

Hello & Welcome to the Forum.. :) :)

You need to tell us a bit more about your car so the right people can advise you on how to change the bulbs.

Those prices sound way too high - though not for a BMW priced part.

Whoops - sorry. I have a BMW X5, 2008 E70. the guys at the dealership tell me that it's not a H7 bulb i need but a smaller bulb that seems to fit in a holder. looking the lights themselves, it's pretty clear that what i would call the sidelights, the halo around the main headlights are the ones that are gone.

all help and advice appreciated!

Can't you get an LED kit off Ebay, that's what I would do on an E53 with blown halo bulbs. Someone must make a non OEM halo bulb for the E70?

Link updated, to general ebay search, seems like plenty of choices.
