LOL It doesn't say those, I was on my phone earlier and couldn't be bothered to type...

That seems to be a very cheap/nasty looking (in my opinion Chinese copy of dynavin ETC It states it comes from Hong Kong, so if anything goes wrong, and the company says get screwed or doesn't reply... you've got nothing to go back on...other than paypal possibly?

If you look at their hardware specs that they appear to be proud of???, and compare them to the Andrive and Parrot Asteroid units, you'll see that you really will get what you pay for (links will be below), there's lots of posts on the net about these units being very laggy and touch screen not being up to scratch (obviously we only ever hear the bad news with anything)...personally - I wouldn't touch these. but that's me...you may buy it and it out lives you and works perfectly fine, but I couldn't take the risk not having a UK warranty.

MY recommendations are
http://www.andrive.co.uk/android_bmw_e39.php - Andrive
or
http://www.parrot.com/asteroid-range/uk/ - Parrot Asteroid 'Smart'

Many thanks for your response. I have a Parrot Asteroid in my work van but its the slimmer looking unit. It's absolutely riddled with software issues, freezing, muting itself, crashing etc so that's left a sour taste regarding Parrot. The Andrive on the other hand looks like a good unit & you are right about the risks from buying from Hong Kong. I'll carry out some research & post my decision in due course.

Wow - the andrive unit looks really good! With so many useful features plus OEM looks I would have thought it to be the unit that most x5 owners upgrade to. Is that the case?

Ok, this is what I'm looking to purchase.....

http://en.hualingan.com/html-en/product ... i+MP3.html

They've offered the unit at $511 which includes the DVB-T option, delivery & uk sat nav maps, (this price is with $30 off as I haggled with them)

Has anyone dealt with Haulingan directly & what is the general opinion on buying from them directly? Ie too risky?
Payment is through Paypal so does anyone know if I'd have any protection paying this way?

Am I missing something, why buy from them and risk getting caught for excise duties, vat, handling fees? also guarantee is only from them to you.
If this is what you want buyit in the UK.
I have one of these,  but bought in the UK.
I may be selling mine and go Andrive.

You have a fair point Lez & buying anything from abroad does have its risks. I was just wondering if anyone had gone through the experience of buying from Haulingan direct.

Out of interest how long have you had yours, what generation is it & how much would you look to sell it for?

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

If it's any help I have posted a review of my first week with an Andrive unit. Very good so far.
