I seriously have no interest in bikes but that black Ducati, Pope is f**king gorgeous! Lovely bike, great stance (if that makes sense)?
[/quote]
Yes that makes sense. Just watch you don't find yourself coming over to the dark side.

Very nice Pope. I do love the GS Adventure, it's like the 4x4 of the biking world. The new GS is launched Saturday so I may get along to the party although I don't want a standard GS again, I would rather wait for the new Adventure but that could be years away. The ducats looked great in the shop but as I intend to use all year round, I would be concerned with reliability.

Yes, the GSA is a truly brilliant bike, that just copes with everything I throw at it.
I'm test riding the new LC GS this Saturday, so I'm looking forward to that. However, like you, I'm gonna wait till the new LC GSA goes on sale...next year maybe??
And although the Ducati is a fantastically awesome fun bike to ride. If I was forced to sell one of my bikes. I'd choose to keep my GSA without hesitation.

The Ducati is massive fun to ride...1200cc, 162bhp and a big fat rear tyre to put the power down.

I am taking my lessons at the moment ( starting a little late as I am 37 but it's took this long to get the missus to let me) One of the instructor's has gone one of these Ducati's and they look awesome in the flesh. I am looking for a CBR 600f to start with and will give it a year or 2 to get some miles under me belt, but I will definitely get one of these at some point.

Re: Lets Talk Motorbikes
I think if I was ever able to return to two wheels then it would have to be one from the 'Dark Side' such as one of the BMW K-series Tourers.
A K1600-GT in Vermilion Red (yes that is a real option) even has Angel Eye headlights, stereo, nav, Bluetooth and toys to plat with.
Loved riding the early K100 when working with the Police in the mid-80's. Last machine I owned was a Honda VFR800A2 in 2004. Still got all my kit, just no machine.

Its never too late to start biking... and a CBR is a good choice to start with - great handling, brakes, performance and reliability.
The Diavel is an absolute beast, that just wants to rip my arms off.. >:D

The K1600 is a nice bike, and that gorgeous IL 6 engine is a peach. But its a big heavy beast.
I also used to own a VFR800 Vtec, and traded it in for my first BMW GS.
Spring is almost upon us now, so time for another bike...??

I had a look at the triumph explorer XC yesterday. I do like the look of it but will wait for the new GSA and then take a few test rides.
