Just found a timer menu for aux ventilation in the on board computer - is that the webasto heater i've read about?
[/quote]

I don't believe so.  It would say Aux Heating if the Webasto heater is fitted.

So what is aux ventilation?

Also the cd multichanger is not showing up under menu and there is an ipod lead hanging out of the dash beneath the steering wheel......have triednplugging in my ipod but it wont charge or show up on cars screen- any ideas?

Congrats and welcome.

Very nicely specced 4.8.

Look forward to the pics.

As for the aux ventilation, it is for cooling the car down on hot days (so you won't need it...lol).

Nice.

First item looks like the trim for the centre of the rear bumper and it's the trim cover for the towbar - OEM is a detachable swan neck.

Second item looks suspiciously like either a high level brake light ( but the car has one do that isn't it) or more likely a laser jammer for back in the days when people thought such devices really could jam the LiDar speed guns.  Using it now results in a 'I'm being jammed' message to the camera operator and you being 'spoken too' for obstructing an officer in the course of their duties.  Some drivers have been done for 'Perverting the course of Justice' for similar systems.  :policeman:

Of course it could just be a legit garage door opener..... :spiteful:

Is that a Maloo in the pic? Hence the user name?
If so, more pics of that too. Almost bought a Monaro before getting the X5  :o

Yep - well spotted! Bought it 6 years ago and have loved every minute of ownership. Breifly considered selling it to fund the x5 purchase but thought it'd be more fun to have both! Will probably keep it for use as a track toy from here on. 430bhp and sounds like a screaming banshee! Will post a couple of photos later when i have access to the laptop

Yep sure is. Aussie equivalent of a transit van!

Well I wasn't expecting that!  I'm sure it goes like stink. Not sure you will get many sheets of plaster board inside!

Nice, looks better with the mat finish. Not everyone's cuppa though.

I've watched a lot of the Aussie racing. That things can shift and hold the track surprisingly well.
I still have a hankering for a Monaro.
I take it that Maloo has all the  correct toys, as in suspension, exhaust and the like? I've seen some of the kits Monkfish have. They must be pretty popular with most of the owners?

Yes - monkfish are definitely the people to see. I've had pretty much all my work done by them...bonnet, brakes, exhaust etc. They love a holden! The matt finish works well for me - no polishing needed so makes car cleaning much quicker. Wonder how the x5 would look? Hhhmmmmmm

In reply to Don, carrying space is quite good but not much in the way of weight carrying potential. The Maloo (thunder in aboriginee) is the top sports model but they have the S and the SS models which are a bit more suited to tradies and carrying stuff. The hard top comes off if you wanna put a bike in the back!
