LPG / MPG

Post by lizzie » Mon Oct 25, 2010 4:30 pm

Hi I know there are a few of you who like me have the LPG and I just wondered what sort on MPG you were getting back on different sorts of driving. I have the 4.4i sport. Just wondered whether I am getting the best from it. I have the BRC system and have just had it serviced.
Thanks
Liz

I got the BRC on a 3.0i and the trip computer long term average is 21. On a run single trip goes to 24+ and round town down to 17.
Assuming the usual 20% reduction I am getting average 17. Given I pay between 57 and 60p per litre then its doing anything from 28mpg to 48mpg equivalent :D

LPG / MPG

I get an average on the trip computer of 22MPG on my 4.4 rising to 25 on a long motorway trip. Got LPG for 55p/L today so that will be a cheap tank :)
To be honest though the only real way to get your MPG is to reset the miles, then fill up and work out what you have used. I reckon I get between the equivalent of 35/38MPG based on cost. That will do me for a 4.4 2 tonne beast!! :)

I'll be finding out how the 4.8 does on the Prins system in a few weeks. But the above replies do give me an idea though.

Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like I'm not doing too bad. Reset miles every time and am averaging 13-14 round town and to work. Last time took it on a long run reset at beginning and ran it till it bleeped at me totally empty and worked out 245 miles out of the tank.
