Must be, mine says light control where yours says blink count. Then once I click on light control I get blink count and AE as DRLs

It's for auto close of windows and I believe sunroof if the lock button is held for more than 2 seconds. My windows are already coded for this and I have no sunroof so have not tried it.

Pretty sure auto close is just for E39. It was causing me indicator problems with it turned on.

I. Thought all BMW,s had auto close, I have had a 840ci e46 1999, E60, 530i , all used to shut windows and sunroofs by holding down the lock button on the fob, or turning and holding the key in the locked position, also will open the same when pressing and holding the unlock button. Even the E53 has it, and its the poverty spec.

All ours have it, E46 (x2), E53, E71, R60.  Even opens/closes the vert hood.

See I come from much more humble backgrounds - none of my previous BMW's had it that I am aware of :(

I know there are some conflicts described for certain configurations of folding mirrors.

The Intravee auto close function has only been tested on E39's, my guess is that it will work on older X5's but maybe not newer ones.

It requires Comfort Closing to be coded (press and hold the lock button to close windows and sun roof) and when enabled will allow you to release the lock button after the windows first start to close, but they will still continue to close until they are all shut.

Correct re newer ones, it makes no change on mine. (always had comfort close, even with this i still have to hold the button down.. - which i believe is a safety feature but an annoyance tbh).
