Was putting some shopping on the back seats earlier, and noticed a small amount of dampness on the carpet in the corner near the back seats.
Looking closely, the door seals look good, but are visibly wet. (We've had some hard rain lately). The drains on the bottom inner edge of the door both appear to be unblocked, but I can see a little water seeping from the interior door trim/panel.
Is it likely that the seals inside the door/windows are a bit dodgy.. Or should I be looking somewhere else for the problem.
For what its worth, I did a check of the boot cubbies, and the battery/bm54 electronics area, and everything in the back is dry as a bone.
Am I correct that its the boot area that can get flooded if the Panoramic Sunroof drains are blocked etc? Just to clarify, the damp spot is right in the corner, just in front of the back seats, right at the back of the back passenger door.
Thanks for any help.. It's rather fun learning the quirks of a "new" used car, and even more fun to fix it myself, rather than rely on the dealers for everything

Small water leak, probably minor, but just checking!

It's likely to be the door membrane behind the door card. A few have had to do theirs on this forum.
And yes the blocked pano roof drains can cause havoc in the boot, as can failed rear light cluster seals.

Hi Richard
I've been watching the boot like a hawk. No sign of even a drop of water there. Just the damp carpet at the back seats.
Ill whip off the door card and check the Membrane.
Is it best to try and DIY a new membrane or buy something in? Any suggestions.
Graham.

Richard,
That looks perfect. I tried searching but missed that thread. Ill get a new membrane from Cotswold and some tape from a garden centre / pond place .
I could see water dripping out from the door trim so I'm sure that's the problem

Turned out to be even easier that I expected.. Was an umbrella in the door pocket, with a string handle that had caught in the door seal. That was just enough to let water slowly "wick" into the car. All dry now
Pretty small door pockets on the back doors
