This may be of some use. I have on one of my laptops the brochure that BMW produced for the 4.8iS and SE 4.8iS. I will try and find it and upload it to the site. It also lists all of the optional extras that were availble at the time.

Seen a Stirling grey, does that mean it's exclusive edition of some sort?

Stirling Grey was a standard colour for the e53 range. Exclusive editions only came in Stratus Grey or Carbon Black with Champagne or Cinnamon Nappa Leather
