BMW Connecteddrive

Post by johnx5 » Fri Feb 08, 2013 5:13 pm

I read about this somewhere else on the web but apparently on many BMW's the free 3 year connecteddrive sub was never signed up for but is just sitting there waiting to be used.

http://www.bmw.com/gb/en/owners/tams/index.html

I filled in the above form and now have all the BMW assist services working in my 2010 E70.

It seems to be a sort of concierge service as well as allowing you to google places on your phone and then fire the location to the sat nav. There is also a news reader in the car and a rudimentary web browser.

Not used it yet as only just registered for it but its free so nothing to lose!!

I only knew about it when I checked on line.  Dealer made no mention of it.  Our mini has it too, but again the Dealer never said anything so we did it ourselves.  Mine runs out at the end of this year so it will be interesting to see how expensive it now is.  Was £115pa on my E53 back in 2005.
