About time really. They have been available around the world for years. I'm sure there's plenty of Audi owners that just didn't consider BMW because they didn't want the traditional high riding 4x4 and 'ordinary' BMW saloons, and estates weren't available with all wheel drive.
The wife has started a new job and will be getting a company car, given the area we live, this may now be an option.

I wonder why rally cars are, and I know which one looks both more fun to watch and participate in !

Re: More 'Xdrive' BMWs on the way
a ha!
that's offroad.
so you agree - onroad performance is better with RWD... shall we say on dry tarmac.
The video is about introducing XDrive on normal beamers..
no one doubts 4WD advantage offroad.. or on snow/ice.

Re: More 'Xdrive' BMWs on the way
The answer has to be it depends!
There are some very good 4 wheel drive cars out there - Audi R8, GTR, 911 turbo etc
Yes on a dry track/road then you probably can't beat a mid-engined rear wheel drive car (you'll see I have a couple) as they probably do provide ultimate feel
The latest BmWs f10/30 have lost there way slightly. Steering feel used to be what BMW were good at.
