Heres a little video we made to show the basic android interface and system.

More to follow in due course.

Wow. Looks really quick compared to my mates older model E46 version. Are there really no more interested members of the forum?

This will work well with my android phone. It does look very responsive. Will be ordering on Friday group or no group discount :))

Yes, its a swap out. If you already have OEM nav you will need a 5 metre cable which we provide to run to the rear of the car where the unit connects. This is because OEM nav cars have all of the system in the boot where the DVD drive is. This is all bypassed.

My car has the OEM Sat Nav, but why go through all the faffing about of buying an additional cable, running it to the back of the car, when the Andrive has a Sat Nav function?

Maybe Andrive, instead of a group buy discount, will give a forum discount as some of us need a little more info before buying and not in a position to by this weekend.

Because all the audio inputs to the amp are in the spare wheel well aswell as the aerial connection. The OEM sat nav display is just that, a control for the radio and amp which are in the back......

+1 that the way BMW made the factory nav, as back then they couldn't fit all the stuff needed for the sat nav into the headunit itself, so everything is in the boot and the display up front is just a display and control panel.

I spoke to Phil at Andrive this morning, he must be sick of my calls lol.. He told me he could do the group discount for a minimum of three units. We have 2, is there someone else? If not ill just go ahead and buy tomorrow anyway...I can't wait to order this bad boy

Sorry guys, being dim, but if the Andrive unit has its own SatNAV system with receiver, whats the point of buying the £50 bundle of wires to use the one in the boot.

You need to connect to the car radio & audio amplifier which is in the boot not in the head unit.  The amp is down alongside the battery along with the speaker connections.

Yeah basically think of it like the radio / amp etc is actually in the boot, the andrive needs the factory connector to plug into which in oem nav enabled cars is in the boot! Non nav cars and that connector is behind the dash, so no need for the long cable!
