I swear my car is falling to bits some input would be greatly appreciated

Post by Gazzi c » Tue Jan 29, 2013 12:14 am

So here is a list of issues that have all started in the last month and I would really like some input on how to resolve these
1. Both remotes have stopped working tried to re-sync but no joy and I have no idea what this reciever looks like in the boot
2. Central locking has stopped working on the drivers door only all the rest are fine
3. The bc button on the indicator stalk has decided to stop working today it's the business mid so nothing to tick or untick
Thanks in advance for any info cheers gaz

Hi

Not sure if I can help but recent link re both keys issue below

http://xdrivers.co.uk/forum/https://xdr ... ;topicseen

Also x5 can have battery issue when battery is old - do you know how old it is, also depends on you journeys if only do say 5 miles a day then I suspect battery is not able to charge enough in cold weather and so charge is low, could put a harger on it or better to give a good run 30-50 miles

Sorry, no idea where the CL controller is but its aerial is in the upper tailgate frame I think.  The wire will come into the car through one of the rubber tubes at the top.

The battery should have a code on it giving the year and either month or production week but you need to get at it via everything else... :(
