Spoke to the dealer today as we finished the paperwork for my plate transfer, etc.
I mentioned the filler cap and the tailgate rattle so that can be looked into and sorted under AUC warranty or any dealer cost they will cover.
Only other thing (they also said they'd cover) is that the little 'levers / paddles' (can't think what to call them) that direct the air vents were missing in the back. I only found out on Saturday when my son was with me. He usually is in the back but as it was the 2 of us, he sat upfront. Anyway, he said they don't have these in the back. Further checking and I found them in the storage tray at the back but with the clips broken.
Just curious to know if those breaking is common or not?
Thanks again.

Re: New X5 owner
No-one had the vent paddles broken then?
That's a good sign for the replacement ones at least.

Re the little "paddles" on the rear seat heater vents - they're easily knocked when putting objects, like shopping bags, on the floor behind the front seats. One of mine has come off- they're in two parts that push and clip together with the horizontal lat in between and a slot that locates on the vertical one. It took a bit of poking around with a wire to get the inside bit out. Simple idea really - but how do you get in behind the lats to put them back together? Answers on a post card please!!! Or maybe you can ask your dealer when he fixes yours?

I must admit it does look a job and half. Perhaps they'll take the unit out?
If they are charging the other dealer, who knows!
I will only have a chance to speak to my local dealers next week. I was hoping to have my plate on by then, so I can update records in one go. I will keep you posted.
