i went to an indy for them to code some items on my x5 but they couldnt do anything with their autologic machine...am i correct in assuming that you can code more stuff with a k+dcan cable and the appropriate software of the web than an autologic will do ...hopefully those with experience can advise..

Re: coding
From research --
You can get Scanner 1.4 which apparently works
Or use NCS Expert and a Carsoft Compatible cable
(If going the NCS expert route then NCS Dummy is a good package to use also)
There are loads of guides on line
Google them and you will see

If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)

Re: coding
anything that is settable in any module can be coded by NCS Expert
It is what the factory / dealers use.
It is recommended that you use something like the NCS Dummy package also as that gives you a more readable translation of the settings available.
There are lots of write ups on the net but especially useful on :-
