BMW hydraulic bike lifts x 2 for BMW roof bars

Post by syg9m » Tue Jan 15, 2013 7:29 pm

Bought for my X5 , you put on the BMW roof bars pull down & attach bike any size , Race , road , mountain , kids , adults then the bike can be lifted  helped by the hydraulic ram onto the roof by 1 finger , yes 1 finger the the lift locks its self , then you just fix the wheel straps & away you go , no more struggling with bikes !
Once you get to your destination click a switch , un fasten the wheel straps & the bike is lowered to the ground , the arm lifts off by turning a handle & goes in the boot . Cost me £230 each selling 2 offers ?

picture at last ! as you can see in the photo the bike is simply put onto the handle bar bracket & seat bracket & with one finger can be lifted onto the roof , strap the wheels down & away you go .
To lower just flick a red button & unloosen the wheel straps & the bike descends very easily , the bike lifts fit into the BMW roof bars & are fully adjustable as is the bike lift so you can fit any size of bike kids / adults , mountain bike / road bike / bmx .
the aluminium pole lifts off after twirling a knob & fits in the boot if you are out & about without the bikes !
Yes it is a BMW Enduro Mountain bike .Image

hi they only fit BMW but the metal plates that are used for fitting in the groves are easily cut / ground down to fit any bars they were about 3mm too big for the THULE ones I was going to adapt them but got some cheap original BMW bars off ebay !
